Media Relations

Delivering compelling messages to your audiences across the media they read, listen to or watch will position your company positively in your marketplace, building credibility and “brand awareness.” The experienced media specialists at Emerald City have years of experience working with the national and regional consumer, business and trade media and know what kinds of stories they are looking for and how to get your story placed.

Our Work

Dead Sea Scrolls Come to Pittsburgh

When the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit came to Pittsburgh, the Monroeville Visitors Bureau retained Emerald City to launch the exhibit and build traffic with a press conference and continuing media coverage during its three-week stay in Pittsburgh. The results: coverage by three major TV networks, two cable TV stations, seven radio stations, 11 daily newspapers and six weekly newspapers. More than 40,000 people from the region visited the exhibit.

Westinghouse Software Innovation

Westinghouse Electric Co. launched a unique software suite called StatePointPlus© which managed and controlled the configuration of computers across an enterprise from one remote location. Emerald City introduced this pioneering technology to the trade media by creating an innovative “baseline management” category that got the media’s attention and resulted in more than 40 articles. The management team ultimately purchased the
technology from Westinghouse, and Emerald City continues to
provide media relations for the new company,
TrueBaseline Corporation.
