| Township, County, State and Federal Elections and Chelsea and Stockbridge School District elections are held at the Lyndon Township Hall, 17751 N. Territorial Road, Chelsea, MI. If you have not registered to vote, contact the Secretary of State Office or the Township Clerk. If you move, you are required to change your address (and voter information) in writing with the Secretary of State or the Lyndon Township Clerk If you wish to register online, Go to State of Michigan Election Information to link to State of Michigan to check your voter registration, get information on where to vote, how to register, sample ballots and how to use the voting device. All elections, for Lyndon Township residents, are held at the Lyndon Township Hall, 17751 N. Territorial Road and the polls open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. The dates of elections can be found on the Calendar Page of this web site. If you are registered to vote, you may request an absentee ballot for the following reasons: 1) I expect to be absent from the community in which I am registered for the entire time the polls are open on Election Day. 2) I am physically unable to attend the polls without the assistance of another. 3) I cannot attend the polls because of the tenets of my religion. 4) I have been appointed an election precinct inspector in a precinct other than the precinct where I reside. 5) I am 60 years of age or older. 6) I cannot attend the polls because I am confined to jail awaiting arraignment or trial. Absent Voter Ballot. This can be obtained from the township
clerk, or you can download and application and read instructions by: The Township Clerk’s office will mail you an Absentee Voter Ballot. The Absent Voter Ballot must be returned to the Township Clerk’s office by the close of the polls, to be counted. |
