Township, County, State and Federal Elections and Chelsea and Stockbridge School District elections are held at the Lyndon Township Hall, 17751 N. Territorial Road, Chelsea, MI. If you have not registered to vote, contact the Secretary of State Office or the Township Clerk. If you move, you are required to change your address (and voter information) in writing with the Secretary of State or the Lyndon Township Clerk

 2- Select "Register To Vote" on the right side of the page,
 3- Follow the steps shown on that page.

All elections, for Lyndon Township residents, are held at the Lyndon Township Hall, 17751 N. Territorial Road and the polls open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m.

If you are registered to vote, you may request an absentee ballot for the following reasons: 1) I expect to be absent from the community in which I am registered for the entire time the polls are open on Election Day. 2) I am physically unable to attend the polls without the assistance of another. 3) I cannot attend the polls because of the tenets of my religion. 4) I have been appointed an election precinct inspector in a precinct other than the precinct where I reside. 5) I am 60 years of age or older. 6) I cannot attend the polls because I am confined to jail awaiting arraignment or trial.

To request an absentee ballot, you have to fill out an application for a Absent Voter Ballot.  This can be obtained from the township clerk, or you can download and application and read instructions by:
 1- Going to the State of Michigan Election Information to link to State of Michigan
 2- Select "Absentee Voting" on the right side of the page,
 3- Scroll down to find "Requesting an Absentee Voter Ballot" and under that
    see " Download your absent voter ballot request here" and then
    ownload the Application for an Absent Voter Ballot as shown on the page,
 4- Fill out the form,
 5- Mail to  to Lyndon Township Clerk, 17751 N. Territorial Road, Chelsea, MI  48118,
 6- Or deliver to the Lyndon Township Hall.

 The Township Clerk’s office will mail you an Absentee Voter Ballot. The Absent Voter Ballot must be returned to the Township Clerk’s office by the close of the polls, to be counted.
